5 Reasons I Picked a Loloi Rug
Loloi believes “that a good rug does more than tie the room together—it sets the home apart.” The right rug can be the perfect compliment to a room, but the wrong one can make it a disaster. Thankfully Loloi has a ton of options for gorgeous, affordable rugs that will be the perfect accent to your home, and their quality and attention to detail help set them apart from other rug companies. Here are 5 reasons why I picked a Loloi rug, and you should too!
1. They’re high quality yet easy to vacuum.
In my quest to decorate our new home (have you seen the posts on Apt2B and Cosmas Hardware?) I thought about adding a Persian rug to my collection of furnishings, but I just wasn’t sure I was ready to take the plunge. Thankfully, I came across Loloi and my eye was immediately drawn to this stunning Terracotta Sky Turkish rug. It was made in Turkey so it’s authentic, but it doesn’t have the fringe that is typically associated with Persian rugs and so it’s incredibly easy to vacuum and won’t trip up my Roomba (win!). It’s also low pile which aids in vacuuming, and yet it’s still super soft. As you can see, Barley Farmer is a fan! (I think the color of his fur really compliments the colors in the rug.)
2. They’re reasonably priced…
The coloring of this rug really stuck out to me: it’s muted in some areas but vibrant in others, and it matches my “Boho on a budget” style perfectly. These rugs are really cost effective, but they don’t sacrifice quality in order to make them affordable. I can already tell this rug is going to be a staple of the Farmer household for a long, long time. I guess it’s only fitting that it comes from the Loren Collection! (Maybe it should be called the “Lo” Collection... what do you think Loloi?!)
3. AND they offer a huge variety of textures, patterns, and colors.
If Terracotta Sky doesn’t speak to you, check out their huge collection of patterns and designs. They even work with other designers and female business owners like Joanna Gaines, Ellen Degeneres, Justina Blakeney, and Rifle Paper Co. Rifle Paper was a huge inspiration to me in design school, so seeing their collaboration with Loloi was just another reason I fell in love with this company. And as if that isn’t enough, they’re also based out of Dallas, TX and ya’ll know how I feel about working with Texas-based businesses!
4. Loloi has more than just rugs.
If you’re not in the market for a new rug, you might be interested in their line of pillows or throws. Both products are designed to compliment their rug collections, so you can create a cohesive design with all the fabrics in your room easily and without maxing out your budget. Their patterns are super unique and their throws feature a variety of fabrics and textures not often seen, like these from the Roger Collection. And as a travel blogger, I’m pretty sure I need some of these destination-inspired pillows (sorry Dylan).
5. Their craftsmanship is unparalleled.
Loloi aspires to “design products for today’s home using centuries-old craftsmanship.” In India, they have people handcrafting each of their rugs using looms, not machines. They use their hands to weave and dye the fabrics, and then they lay them outside to dry in the sun. It’s a long, time-consuming process, but for the creators of the rugs it’s also an art form. You can be assured that someone has thought about every detail of the rug you purchase, and they’ve meticulously inspected it for any signs of imperfections. Each rug is unique, and so is the story behind how it’s made.
