Del Friscos Double Eagle Steakhouse Puts The Luxury in Cowtown
When it comes to Cowtown, there is no shortage of fantastic steak restaurants. But if you ask us, we’ll tell you that Del Friscos Double Eagle Steakhouse is at the very top of that list. And that isn’t an easy spot to secure. Here at Sip Dine Design, we consider ourselves well versed in the foodie scene, so you better believe our standards are high. From the quality of food and enormity of the wine list to the welcoming staff, vibe-y atmosphere and convenient location, we look for restaurants that have it all.
Needless to say, Downtown Fort Worth’s Del Friscos steakhouse passed with flying colors. And now we have to tell the world! Whether you’re coming into town for a luxurious weekend getaway or just a die-hard Fort Worthian, Del Friscos Double Eagle Steakhouse is everyone’s dream come true. Here’s Why:
Their Staff is Top Notch
It’s no secret that I’m a sucker for anything female owned or run…. And Del Friscos is making me proud. From the valet to the management team and everyone in between, the staff is worthy of their five-star status and it’s stacked with some incredible women, too. If their credentials give you reason to expect being waited on hand and foot, you won’t be let down. We were truly blown away by the warm and personable welcome we received from each and every person we met, and by the time we left, we felt like we were practically part of the family. How’s that for some southern hospitality? At Del Friscos, it’s alive and well friends!
The Atmosphere is Luxurious Without Being Stuffy
Unlike many of the nicest steakhouses, Del Friscos is luxurious without being stuffy. The dark wood accents, grand staircases and secluded enclaves in the dining area will have you feeling like you’re a first-class passenger aboard the Titanic, but the tall ceilings in the entryway and long and open bar area keep the space feeling modern too. We loved how the artwork gave a subtle nod to the old West while the architecture stayed timeless and refreshing. Season to season and year to year, Del Friscos Double Eagle Steakhouse provides the perfect backdrop for every occasion.
The Menu Takes Fine Dining to A New Level
If you’re local to Fort Worth, you’ve probably given some thought to their dinner menu. With buttery steaks that are paired perfectly with full-bodied wines and fresh seafood flown in daily, there is truly no shortage of offerings to daydream about. But, when is the last time you took a look at their lunch menu? Or yes. It’s true. Every afternoon from 11:00- 2:30 you can dine like a king. Because who wants to wait for dinner? Whether you’re looking for a business rendezvous over lunch, or just too impatient to wait till dinner to enjoy Downtown Fort Worth (ie. Dylan and I) Del Friscos is the perfect place to hit the pause button and refresh mid-day.
We went all out- because, well, when in Rome! And we are still talking about how unsurmountable our dining experience was. So, we put together a list of our favorites to help narrow it down: the Cheesesteak Egg Rolls and the Lobster Bisque were to-die-for. I mean literally. They were so rich it was practically like having dessert before dinner… and neither of us were mad about it. The Filet Mignon was excellent, especially when paired with a side of Jalapeño Bacon Macaroni and Cheese, the classic and flavorful Creamed Corn, and the refreshing Seasonal Asparagus. One of the incredible wine aficionados helped us sift through the extensive wine list to pick the perfect one to pair with our meal- such a treat. And to top it off, we had the Warm Banana Bread Pudding for dessert. My two favorite things are banana bread and bread pudding… and they literally took them and rolled them both into one dessert. I’m back in a food-coma just from talking about it. And yes- it was 110 percent worth it.
Their Location, Like Their Ribs, is Prime
Did we mention how ideal the location is? Sitting proudly in the heart of downtown, it’s a short walk from the iconic Sundance Square, and it’s just around the corner from Fort Worth’s famed Bass Hall. It’s the perfect place to make an evening out of it and walk off some of the calories you don’t regret.
We could go on, but before you all DM me for ruining your diets, I’ll put a graceful cap on it and leave you with this: Del Friscos Double Eagle Steakhouse preserves Fort Worth’s history beautifully and beckons city goers from near and far to come and indulge in the luxurious side of Cowtown. It is truly an experience worth writing home about!
