The Catalina Weekender
When I first met my husband I was a “checked bag for a weekend trip” kinda girl… I threw everything in a big ol’ suitcase, lugged it to the airport, and sent up a prayer to sweet baby Jesus that my suitcase would clock in at 49.9 pounds or below. Well, three years, a travel blog, and one checked-bag-hating-husband later, I’m happy to say that I am an entry-level expert on traveling with only a carry-on.
Which brings me to my latest travel OBSESSION, Lo & Sons. When Dylan and I were planning our Honeymoon to Europe, I was struck with the realization that I needed to pack nine days worth of winter clothes AND camera gear in a carry on bag... Quelle horreur! [Variety] The Catalina Bag is available in not one, but FOUR sizes, so you can pick the perfect size to fit your needs. I chose the Catalina deluxe small size.
[Compartments] The multiple compartments make it easy to stay organized, while pulling things in and out of your bag. My favorite is the shoe compartment at the bottom complete with a removable lining. Seriously, they’ve thought of everything.
[Security] The inside and outside both feature functional zippered pockets so you can quickly access and store your phone/keys/sunglasses! Love these pockets and major bonus, you never have to worry about things falling out when you are shuffling through the train station, airport, and wherever your adventures take you.
[Straps on Straps] The bag comes with a removable should strap as well as handles so it’s easy for anyone to carry.
[Outside Suitcase Handle Sleeve] Hands down my favorite feature. The bag slider slides easily over my suitcase handles with zippers that secure it on each size. It makes it incredibly easy to zip through the airport and still have your hands free! G-E-N-I-U-S.

In addition to being thoughtfully and stylishly designed, this company is family owned (swoon)! Started by a mother and her 2 sons, they design amazing bags together with the traveller in mind. As a lover of small business, contributing to someone else’s passion project was a no brainer! And who doesn’t feel good when they shop a small biz!? So. Good.
All in all, I highly recommend ANY products from Lo & Sons, but this Catalina Bag is the perfect fit for anyone constantly on the go!
